It is a combination of a retractable ceiling fan and a crystal chandelier. The fan is fantastic, beautiful, shiny chrome with crystals and a gauzy ribbon shade. The clear ceiling fan blades extend when you turn it on and retract when you turn it off, so it looks like a chandelier when not in use. It puts out a lot of wind movement. No shake or wobble. It has a remote control for the fan speed but the lights are not dimmable.
